WE Patients Foundation together with Urszula Jaworka Foundation conducted the project „Promotion of public consultation in healthcare”, which objectives were to prepare selected patients’ organisations to engage in the process of public consultation. Project’s activities aimed at creating professional group of citizens, prepared to be involved in public consultation in the field of healthcare. Within project’s framework there are conducted trainings concerning participation in the process of decision making and workshops concerning specific, current public consultation. The project included also substantial and legal support for individual needs of patients’organisations in the field of public consultation.

 

The project was conducted from 1 October 2013 to 31 July 2014. In the project were involved 20 patients’ organisations. Participation in trainings, workshops and expert support provided within the project were gratuitous for patient’s organisations. The representatives of organisations outside Warsaw had reimbursement of travel cost guarantied.

 

Project’s schedule:
1. 4 trainings concerning public consultation (November 2013 – March 2014)
2. 2 workshops (March – May 2014)
3. creating project’s website (October – December 2013)
4. expert support of public consultation (October 2013 – July 2014)

 

The project was conducted with support of Switzerland within the framework of Swiss programme of co-operation with new members of European Union.
